EventR has a detailed costing model that is maintained the whole time the system is used. It can be used to track Expenses, track Event costs, and even track how much to bill the client. Power Lists also allow flexible gathering of costs and charges from your users.
Every "cost" can have multiple parts - different underlying amounts. This means you can manage taxes and charges incurred as part of the cost as separate entities if you want. Multiple currencies are also tracked and stored independently. The system makes no attempt to convert them, meaning you can reconcile them against agreed government rates. We even include CO2 in the model so that you can track that as a "cost".
Costs can also be assigned cost centres which you can then group by client or business unit. We also support ISO Merchant Codes, so they can be tagged as types of expenses.
You can also import and export all the costs via Excel so you can ensure other systems are kept up to date with EventR's view.
