EventR supports a live flight updates through a third party service. This is activated when you add a flight through the "Get Flight Data" button. If you do this and the flight number is found, the app will start live updating this information from our source for 24 hours at a maximum frequency of 10 minutes. This information can be variable in quality depending on airport, carrier and just general data quality.
24 Hours we may be able to provide any of the following:
- Airport Terminal
- Flight status
- Predicted/actual Departure time
- Gate
- Check in desk
- Carrier name
If a flight is not found, it may be a "codeshare" flight number. This is where there are two carriers sharing a flight, with one as primary and one as secondary. These codeshares are often are often not known until just before departure, so may not be correctly found and updated. They can be spotted by looking at the flight number. If the first digit is 5 or more it might be a codeshare number (however this is not always the case!) more information on flight number conventions can be found here.
