Locking down EventR updates

At the Premium and Enterprise Tiers EventR supports the ability to lock down the interface.

Admin Organisation Settings

The best screen to start on is the Admin Screen->Organisation Settings.

To lock down EventR the top options are hard lockdowns that override the default behaviour.

In App Editing for Admin's only mean that you need the "Full Access" permission to change the itinerary from the App. Disable In App Editing stops anyone from using the app to change the itineraries. This can be useful in certain environments.

Disable invites from the App may be necessary also, to stop the team growing in an uncontrolled fashion.

Disable Chat - this removes the chat completely from the UI, allowing you to manage team communications via other existing platforms such as Teams or WhatsApp.

Disable location sharing - means team members don't get the option to share their location with the team. This might be an important security concern for some people operating in unsafe environments.

Expense tracking can be turned off, so the team can use existing workflows and not confuse people with multiple offerings.

To further lock down the system we recommend creating or adjusting the User Role on the permissions page:

Permissions Screen

Access to the Team page can be restricted if you don't want users to see what colleagues are doing. Also it is worth considering if every activity should be marked Private to further control the visibility. Itinerary Editing can also be removed from users here.

Please note the opposite of this approach is Guerrilla Mode
