External Editor custom role

As an organisation admin i want to provide limited access to an External Editor so that they only have access to the Activities Section in a specific itinerary on the app and on the ECH

Create a Custom role

First create a new Role called External Editor and on the organisation scope grant permission as follows;

Edit itinerary Checked This ensures that this role has access to itineraries at the organisation scope. If this setting is not enabled at the organization scope, the role will not have access to the itineraries on any scope.
Access Coordinator Hub Checked This permission grant this role access to the ECH.
Team Page Access Locked This denies this role access to the Team page in the app. It also ensures that users with this role can only view itinerary entries they are part of.
Check Todo Items Checked his allows this role to be able to check todo items on the app
All Others unchecked All other permission that stay unchecked means that this role does not have access to the related functionality.
Create Custom role 'External Editor'
External Editor Custom set permissions

Assign the External Editor to a member on the Users Page.

Assign the custom role to a member

Now this member can sign into the ECH and has access to all itineraries in this organisation.Next, hide all the itineraries that this role should not have access to.This can be done in two ways.Using Itinerary Tags Scope or Itinerary Scope.

Using Itinerary Tags is the recommended approach. Ensure all your itineraries are tagged appropriately. On the Permissions page, select the Itinerary Tags scope, choose a tag, and lock the Edit Itinerary permission.Any itinerary tags that has Edit Itinerary permission Unchecked will remain displayed to this role.Additional all untagged itineraries will remain displayed to this role.

For Itinerary Scope see Permissions Tab .

This role can now only view itineraries with the specified itinerary tag. Next, restrict which sections of those itineraries the role can access.See Section Scope. In this case to ensure this role has only access to Activities Sections ,all other sections are locked for Edit Itinerary permission.This includes the Planner and Costing Tab.

To ensure only relevant itineraries are displayed on the app for this role, only add this member to the those itineraries on the Event Information page and make it Visible.
