Overview

Image Focal Point Editing allows you to control how an uploaded image is positioned and cropped wherever an image is displayed within EventR.

Previously, images were automatically cropped from the centre. This could result in important parts of an image being cut off — for example, positioning the crop around a person's midriff rather than their face.

With Image Focal Point Editing, you can reposition and zoom an image to ensure the desired information remains visible.

Quick positioning

Images can be repositioned directly from pages where they are displayed, without opening the image controls.

Ctrl + Drag — reposition the image within its display area.
Shift + Scroll — zoom the image in or out.

For example, these controls can be used directly from an itinerary overview to adjust the positioning of an image, giving you the ability to view the cropped result immediately.

Full image controls

Clicking an image opens the full focal point editing controls. From here you can:

Reposition the crop window to the desired area of the image.
Adjust the zoom level.
Reset the framing to the original centralised position.

The controls are available wherever an uploaded image is used, including itinerary cover images and event card images.
