Activities (or as we call them internally "Section Items") is a generic term for all the types of things EventR can manage, currently:

  • Flights
  • Accommodation
  • Rental cars
  • Transport
  • General Activities
  • Stands
  • Power Lists
  • Parking

Each of these has special properties and features, however they follow the same basic structure and features:

General Activity - highlighted sections

Itinerary Selector

Found at the top of the screen and allows you to search for the itinerary, as well as filter. We also support a side bar view button on the left, to give more priority and control over the selection. The Itinerary Tags filter is to the right.

Activity Selector

This allows you to select the particular activity that fills the page - it has a break out button like the Itinerary Selector that allows you to have more control over finding the activity in complex itineraries.

Activity Name

Category Selector

As part of the top area on the left you can change icon and colour of this activity as it appears in the app. This allows for an activity to be repurposed as a type. We also allow multiple categories to be added. The primary one is the first selected and will be the icon chosen to display. Activity categories can really liven up a complex itinerary!

Visibility Selector

This controls the Activity visibility levels, team, private, or public.

Booking State Selector

This controls the booking status. Confirmed, Pending or Cancelled.

Itinerary Timings

The time the activity is displayed. There is an optional check in/arrival time/be there before time, so that people can be told to be in a location earlier. If the start time is the same as the end time it is a "point in time activity" that will drop out of view when past. With no end time, the activity will last until the end of the day in the itinerary. Please note there's a feature in the app to optionally show past activities.

Activity Costs

Activity costs are recorded at two different levels, one allows you to add costs per activity, and one allows by booking. Often it is not possible to work at this level, but EventR offers it when you need it.

Additional Information and Description

Additional Information - this is supports markdown for formatting. It will appear either to everyone if entered in to the top area, or just the booking on the details screen or in the collapsed area. When the item has a description field it appears on the card and also supports markdown. It can be used to change the cards to be more immediately informational.

Documents

Document Uploading works at different levels and allows you to provide any documents to your team the phone can read.
